We started in Spain, then chose Medellín. We stayed six months, and it's where we're going back to. You may stand out more here than you're used to. - **Spanish matters for daily life.**You can get by without it in tourist areas. A real life here is easier with more. - **El Poblado is a starting point.**We stay there, then show you where people actually live. - **Street sense helps.**Locals say *no dar papaya*: don't make yourself an easy target. *You may leave with a yes, or a no.* Both are good outcomes.
